It’s been one year since the Krisflyer “Spontaneous Escapes” promotion! This is an exclusive promotion where they offer Krisflyer Members discounted redemption tickets to fly to selected destinations at a great discount to the usual redemption chart. Unfortunately, this works only for those with flexible working schedules and can get away at the last minute.

This time, enjoy 40% KrisFlyer miles redemption discount when you redeem your KrisFlyer miles online for selected Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flights on singaporeair.com, for redemptions made from now till 31 Jul 2018. These heavily discounted flights are economy class tickets to Bangkok, Yangon and Phnom Penh only.

Travel period is from 1 to 30 Aug 2018.

The important thing to note that these redemptions are deemed as “promotional” rates, which are treated like the cheapest air tickets, meaning there is strictly NO cancellation or amendments to travel plans. There are also no stopovers, and flights have to be confirmed by the redemption date.

One thing that is NOT mentioned in the Terms & Conditions though – flights have been to be available at time of booking to enjoy the discounted rate. Waitlisted flights that clear almost immediately will be subjected to the normal rate.

The full list of travel destinations is here.

Travel Destinations
The number of KrisFlyer miles required for redemption shown is for per person per one-way travel, after applying the discount. Taxes and fees will apply in addition to the required redemption mileage and must be paid separately by the passenger in the applicable currency. Blackout dates apply.

Some popular routes are on discount too, but do watch out for the Blackout dates.

The first list will be SQ flights where there is a mix of economy and business class flights. For Silkair, only economy flights are offered – no point redeeming for these regional business class seats anyway.
